Adam and Jeremy Say: Not your typical "worship" cd

If you revel in the likes of Chris Tomlin and David Crowder Band, you may not have heard of an equally transparent and less trendy group called The Glorious Unseen.
I am currently streaming their new album, and it's knocking my socks off. Swing over to their ecard and take a listen.
In the meantime, here is what some other people had to say about it:
"one of the only worship bands I actually like"-Tim McTague(Underoath)
"this sounds amazing...I have always loved what Ben is doing"-Joshua Scogin (The Chariot)
"TGU is the best worship record I have ever heard"-Jimmy Ryan (Haste the Day/Trenches)
"Ben has a real nice voice....I'de prefer to listen to him sing those songs out on the street, though"-Aaron Weiss(mewithoutyou)

Adam and Jeremy Say:Thursday Nights are back!....kinda

So the new and final season of scrubs started last night, and although this means The Office will only have time for 30 minutes episodes now, we are rejoicing that they(NBC) are back to their full Thursday Night line-up.
The bad news is, Jeremy missed the entire episode. The good news is, Jeremy have Charter DVR, and it's safely stored on the the cable box hard drive.
I was going to use this post to give my thoughts on the season premier, but alas it will have to wait. I was too busy gettin' down on my b-day, and plus the air force academy game was on tv, which never happens.
In the meantime, swing on over to the Scrubs website and watch the featured video by creator Bill Lawrence. You could possibly have an impact on how the series will come to an end.

Adam and Jeremy Say:Calling all Uglies!

According to a recent survey from http://www.travelandleisure.com/, the most unattractive people in the United States can be found in Phily. Not only are they said to be ugly, but they are also voted "least stylish, least active, least friendly, and least worldly". Not really sure what the "least worldly" means?
Some runner-up cities include:Washington DC and Dallas/Fort Worth while the cities with the most attractive people are San Diego and Miami. No surprise there.

Adam and Jeremy don't personally know that many people from Phily, but the ones that we do are actually fairly good looking, and nice people.

Adam and Jeremy: Next Sharks Will Be Eating People In Pools!

Shark alert: It's not safe to go in the water at the Indy 300
By DENNIS PASSA, AP Sports Writer

October 18, 2007

SURFERS PARADISE, Australia (AP) -- Over-exuberant fans at the Indy 300 have been urged not to cool off by jumping into the river that runs through the Surfers Paradise street course because it's full of aggressive bull sharks.

On Friday, race officials said extra security boats have been employed to keep revelers out of the waterways, fearing a shark attack at the prime feeding times of dusk and dawn. Fans arriving by boat and jet skis were urged to stay out of the water

The Nerang River and many of its canals and lakes have been the site of numerous shark attacks. In 2003, two men, including an 84-year-old former athlete, were killed in attacks in Nerang River tributaries, both by bull sharks.
Commentary: That's right sharks in a fresh water river! Sharks! We are all going to die!

Adam and Jeremy: Just Say No to Starbucks Music... Even if its Free.

Hey want free music from Bob Dylan, Dave Mathews, KT Tunstal, Paul McCartney, and John Mayer? Sure you do. Well Starbucks wants to give it to you! Excited? I was... until I realized they want to give it to me one song a day for then next thirty days... So that would not be so bad if I had to go to a website or sign up for an email, but they want me to go to their stores every day for over a month just to get one song... It's never enough is it? They already have half of America addicted to their marginally good over priced lattes and now they want to reel in we music fans offering us one little hit a day like they were drug dealers or something. No seriously I saw this on an episode of Law and Order this is how crack pushers work... one hit at a time until you are completely addicted and then they run the price up on you and shiv you in a dark alley! Needless to say I am going to just say no and ignore this asinine marketing ploy, but it is free music from good artists so here is the web link if you are interested in the details. Adam and Jeremy Say: Richmond Starts Green Roof Trend...

No seriously the Times Dispatch says we did... just read it for yourself.
It is nice to see that Richmond is at the forefront of this "green" roof movement. Now I wonder if I can plant stuff on my roof... because seriously the only thing that seems to grow on roofs in my neighborhood is satellite dishes.

Adam and Jeremy Say: The Rock Drops Peoples Elbow on Ben Stiller and Movie Experts

Oh man pop culture we love you... we love the way your "experts" act all confused when an R-rated remake of a film falls below expectations and finishes second to a family friendly football/parenting movie... Any WWE fan could have told you that Ben Stiller would not stand a chance getting into the ring with Dwayne Johnson; "if you smell what the Rock is cooking." At any rate its not really the beating Heartbreak Kid took at the hands of The Game Plan over the weekend that has us all giggly, but it is the shocked reaction the "experts" in the media have displayed that has us chuckling... check out this article in USA Today and tell me you don't snicker once or twice.

Adam and Jeremy Say: Ryan Coming Back To The Office Scares US.

The Office is amazing. I loved last nights episode... evil super hardcore Ryan is a great new twist, with a two hundred dollar haircut... Michale drove a car into a lake... "Yeah the map was a bit of a disappointment."... the only downer is the Pam Jim thing... sure it was super exciting to see them get together, but without the tension I think things are not quite as funny... though my boy Toby could throw a wrench into the works... at any rate The Office is officially the funniest show on television and if you missed last nights super sized episode go HERE to watch it online... and if you caught the bit about the new Dunder Mifflin Infinity website at the end then you don't need THIS LINK, but if you didn't you should check it out.... oh and for those of you who saw the episode my favorite line... "Apparently Ryan can't get ANY girl he wants."

Adam and Jeremy Say: the 60min Colbert Report

Tune in to 60 minutes this weekend(yes, I really did say that), so see an exclusive behind the scenes look at The Colbert Report. Correspondent Morley Safer will take us through how "The Colbert Report" is created, and I'm sure the actual interview with Colbert will not disappoint. If Safer can torment him as much as Colbert does the guests on his show, I will be greatly impressed.

Adam and Jeremy Say: Seiously The Leg Thing Is Funny... Just Watch The Video.

There is video of one of the men from that bizarre story about the dispute of the human leg that we reported yesterday... and you won't believe how funny it is... ironically... my favorite part... "I've never traded for human body parts before. I trade for a shrunken head once, but this is different." Seriously just click this link and watch it... and then die laughing.

Adam and Jeremy Say: Take Time To Stop And Smell The Black Roses With Blindside

Blindside has a new EP out titled "Black Rose." It is only available as a download, and it is only available from this site... not THIS site but the site we just linked... the first link not the second... argh! Everyone's favorite Swedes are also doing a short US tour to support the EP so look for them to come to your town... if you town is Atlanta, Nashvegas, or Los Angeles.

Adam and Jeremy Say:Give the guy his leg back!

Some of the Carolina's finest are in a disput on who should get an amputated leg. Funny, we had to go all the way to England to find this information, but here is the article from the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7024124.stm
We have tried fiding some photos of the men involved, but have been unable. Send us a link if you find some.

Adam and Jeremy Say:Take a picture. It will last longer

Old news, but Adam and Jeremy's favorite free photo website Morguefile is sponsoring a worldwide event that all aspiring photographers should take note of. Check out the website and see all the pictures from this year. The 11th Hour

What is the 11th Hour? The 11th Hour is a fun and exciting photo shoot that Morguefile members can participate in. Members from around the world shoot images at the same specific time to create a unique global perspective of the world we live in. This event is a shared phenomenon that spans the globe at a single point in time and connects members beyond great distances in a fun and possibly spiritual way.

MorgueFile will then compile the most meaningful images and publish them in a soft cover book, the 11th Hour. All published photographers will receive a copy for free and the magazine will go on sale here on morguefile.com.

How can I participate?
1. Register with MorgueFile if you are not a member yet
2. Sign-up for the 11th hour with Paul & give him your name and location: earl53 AT gmail dot com
3. Determine your relative position to the Greenwich Mean Time
4. Read the current 11th hour discussion and get caught up.

Rules : There are 5 opportunities of taking pictures at specified points in time.
ROUND 1: 9/1/07 - 11pm
ROUND 2&3: 9/2/07 - 11am and 11pm
ROUND 4&5: 9/3/07 - 11am and 11pm

All times are determined relative to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). You must determine your times relative to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT):

There are 5 chances to get out and take some photos of your surroundings. Then from each time slot pick one of your best photos and upload the pictures to.

Adam and Jeremy Say: Sure the Snow Thing Is Nuts, but It Is Better Than the Alternative.

As Adam and Jeremy reported earlier today... the world record for mountain biking has been broken... check it out we have video to prove it.

Now many of you may ask "Why on earth would you do that on snow?" and at first we had no clue, but then we say this video...

...and suddenly it made much more sense.

Adam and Jeremy Say: Come visit Asheville

Yet again, the NY Times is talking about it:

http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/09/30/travel/30hours.html?em&ex=1191384000&en=6350405d3b4231bf&ei=5087%0A

Adam and Jeremy Say: Crazy Austrian Hurtles Down Hill at More Than 130 Miles Per Hour on Bicycle

So after two very entertaining but obviously irrelevant posts about ranting we think it is time we post about something more important... like the world speed record for a mountain bike...

33 year old Austrian Markus Stoeckl has smashed the World Speed Record for series mountain bikes. Stoeckl, nicknamed "Hercules" because of his 6'4", 220 lbs. frame, broke the 8 year old record by 14 mph on a 2000 meter, 45 degree run in the Chilean Alps. Because of the extreme cold, Hercules had to hold his breath for the 40 second duration so his helmet didn't fog up.
